The government funds a system of Jobcentres across
the country with whom you are required to register if unemployed.
These advertise jobs but few at professional or managerial level.
Jobs at managerial and professional level are
advertised in the “quality” national press such as The
Times, The Guardian and The Telegraph; in local papers, especially
the London Evening Standard; and in specialist publications relating
to specific professions.
Also private employment agencies recruit for
a lot of firms (numbers in telephone book).

There are many more, and a general Internet search may provide
you with details of recruitment agencies that deal specifically
with your sector.
Although there are jobs advertised which require foreign language
skills, it is unlikely that you will find a job in the UK unless
you can speak at least some English.
Trade Unions in the UK cannot assist you in finding a job, although
they may be able to provide you with some information relating to
the sector you work in.
