The NATIONAL ACADEMIC RECOGNITION INFORMATION CENTRE (NARIC) determines the recognition in Ireland of qualifications obtained in other EU member states and in non-EU states.

The Irish NARIC has been officially designated as the contact point (CP) for the council, following Directive 89/48/EEC on the recognition of higher Education diplomas awarded on completion of professional education and training of at least three years duration.
