Background
One of the major obstacles encountered by engineers (and other professions too) moving on a temporary or permanent basis to work (as employee or consultant) in another country (in the European Union or elsewhere) as their country of origin (where their qualifications have been acquired) is to have their professional qualifications and competences easily and rapidly recognized at their fair worth and merit.

ENGCARD, the story continues?
This article highlights the vision, the philosophy and the added value of the ENGCARD concept, a cooperation between FEANI and EUROCADRES.
It explains how ENGCARD provides added value for the long term to secure quality but also health and consumer protection in a none harmonized professional and educational European and global context.
The full potential of ENGCARD and the ‘SESAME’ role that the card would play in conjunction with the EUROPASS framework is also described.
